Meet Dr. Williams
Dr. Travis Williams is proud Tampa Bay Area native. He grew up in South Tampa and later moved to St. Pete Beach, where he graduated from St. Petersburg Catholic High School. He continued his education at the University of Tampa Honors College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Dr. Travis Williams attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated at the top of his class. Upon graduation, he received a scholarship award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for his involvement as the President of the Schoenleber Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society and Co-Founder of the Academy of Osseointegration Dental Student Implant Society.
He continued to advance his training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans where he completed his medical degree. Following medical school, he completed a one-year General Surgery internship at University Medical Center in New Orleans, a Level I Trauma Center. Dr. Travis Williams then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Louisiana State University. In residency, he received extensive training in corrective jaw surgery, dental implants, various bone harvesting and grafting techniques, removal of wisdom teeth, treatment of TMJ disorders, cosmetic facial surgery/injectables, maxillofacial trauma, and removal of pathology with reconstruction of facial bones and soft tissues. He also holds multiple publications pertaining to the field of dentistry, wisdom teeth extraction, and facial reconstruction.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as many local and national organizations. Dr. Travis Williams is excited to be coming back to the Tampa Bay Area and treating the community that he sees as family with his wife, Dr. Danielle Williams.
