Clayton Hamrick, D.M.D., M.D., was born in Pensacola, FL and grew up in Raleigh, NC. He completed his undergraduate studies at Clemson University in 2006 where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in biology.
Dr. Hamrick then moved to Gainesville, FL (where his parents met and he met his wife). He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) at the University of Florida College of dentistry in 2012. He continued at the University of Florida to earn his medical degree (M.D.) in 2016, completed his residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery in 2018 and then earned a general surgery internship certificate in 2019.
Following his residency training, Dr. Hamrick became a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in the department of OMFS in 2019. During his 3 years as an attending at UF his main focus was training residents and he practiced full-scope OMFS.
Dr. Hamrick is board certified in oral & maxillofacial surgery. His clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, trauma, TMJ surgery, benign pathology and reconstruction.
Dr. Hamrick is excited to continue his career in the area alongside his wife, Raquel, a Miami native and general dentist; their daughter, Austin; and son, Clay Jr. “CJ”.
