Meet Dr. Williams
Dr. Danielle Williams was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Pennsylvania State University, attaining a Bachelors of Science and a minor in Psychology. At the University, she was a Schreyer Honors College Scholar, and completed her honors thesis in Nutritional Sciences. Dr. Williams then attended dental school at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian in 2014.
She advanced her training with a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. It involved rotations at multiple hospitals, including University Medical Center in New Orleans, which is a nationally verified Level One Trauma Center. During her training, she attended Louisiana State University-New Orleans School of Medicine and graduated with her medical degree in 2017.
In residency, she received extensive training in dental implants and bone grafting, impacted wisdom teeth, orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), facial trauma, cosmetic surgery and injectables, benign and malignant pathology and reconstruction, TMJ surgery, and anesthesia. She has published on pathology and reconstruction, techniques for repair of mandible fractures, and anesthesia. In addition, she gave an award-winning presentation of her research at a national conference.
She is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as many local and national organizations. Dr. Williams treats all patients like family and provides comfortable and compassionate care.
In her free time, Dr. Williams enjoys running or rollerblading on the Tampa Riverwalk, yoga, and lounging on the Florida beaches. Some of her favorite activities though, are traveling and exploring new restaurants with her husband, Travis. She hopes to add an English Bulldog (or two) to their family soon.
