Meet Dr. Knittel

Dr. Jeffrey Knittel was born outside of St. Louis, Missouri, where he lived until relocating to the Tampa Bay area when he was six years old.
Dr. Knittel met his wife, Megan, while attending the University of South Florida where he obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Medical Science.
Shortly after getting married, the couple moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended dental school at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Knittel graduated from UT in 2015 with High Honors and was among the top graduates in his class, obtaining numerous awards including induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Dean’s Honor Society, and the Tipton Award for Student Research.
Immediately following graduation, Dr. Knittel began a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He obtained a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2018.
During residency, he also completed a one-year General Surgery internship and served as Chief Resident during his final year of residency. While at UF, Dr. Knittel received extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, pathology, reconstruction/bone grafting, and anesthesia.
In his spare time, Dr. Knittel enjoys playing guitar, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Megan, and their four young sons.
